Western Oregon University is very special in its way, it's cold, gloomy, and rainy but all these things are what I love about being here. Especially how close all the buildings are, it makes it easier for people who don't have a vehicle to just walk to classes. Being from Hawaii it's a huge change, from temperature to even the trees I look at outside; but it sure has a feeling of what I feel and call home and it's something that I sure look forward to.

Attending WOU has been the best thing that ever happened to me. I’ve become more independent, less shy, and I’m learning so many new things. I’m met some incredible friends. WOU also has a lot of resources on campus to help if you struggle to meet basic needs or if you need help finding an apartment for the summer etc. There’s also so many fun events that my friends and I love going to.
